Steve Mack is one of three, board certified Physical Therapist in Asheville, NC. He is a graduate of Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. and has over 18 years of orthopedic therapy experience. While earning his degree and obtaining work experience, Steve has focused on upper and lower extremity injury rehabilitation and prevention. Steve is a Certified Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder. Steve enjoys working with local athletes that participate in team sports and individual endurance competitions. He has implemented a healthy shoulder program for injury prevention and performance improvement with a local competitive swim team. Steve is an experienced Functional Capacity Evaluator. Through biomechanical and postural analysis, return to function, performance training, injury prevention and exercise education classes, clients have the opportunity to return to work, athletics, and normal daily activities at a high level of purposeful results.
Laura is a licensed Physical Therapist in North Carolina and a member of the American Physical Therapy Assocation’s Orthopaedic Section. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002, followed by her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2006.
Laura’s passion for sports and orthopaedic led her to obtain a specialized certification in Sportsmetric training, a scientifically proven ACL prevention program for athletes.
Prior to joining our team in 2008, Laura worked in subacute and geriatric rehabilitation. She also has clinical experience in orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation at outpatient clinics in Morganton, NC and Billings, MT as well as acute care at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital.
In her time off, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys, playing soccer, watching live music, hiking and running.
