Lawson Duncan

Lawson Duncan is a retired American tennis professional, touting career highlights of being ranked World No. 47 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals on May 20, 1985 and reaching the fourth round in the 1989 French Open. In retirement, Lawson has stayed active and continued to teach tennis lessons until his knee injury occurred. Diminishing his ability to even walk, Dr. DePaolo’s surgery to repair his torn quadriceps tendon was enhanced with the application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). This enabled Lawson to not only walk again, but return to playing tennis. Lawson appreciated the tremendous amount of support he received from Dr. DePaolo before, during and after his procedure, and completed his healing four times faster than expected due to diligently adhering to his recovery strategy and Dr. DePaolo’s fine work. Lawson shares that he had a great experience with Dr. DePaolo’s entire staff, though he did not have to spend very much time with them due to his quick recovery. He valued Dr. DePaolo’s genuine, sincere concern for him as a patient, and the direct and honest communication he received regarding his situation and injury. “I would recommend Dr. DePaolo hands down to anyone,” Lawson said. “This is the kind of doctor that I would travel across the country to use.”
